The LGBT International FoRB Coalition is a global, multi-faith network committed to advancing the universal right to freedom of religion or belief (FoRB) for all people—including LGBT individuals and communities.

We highlight:

• The experiences of LGBT people of different faiths and beliefs who face persecution for their deeply held beliefs

• The organizations and faith and belief leaders who stand beside them in love and solidarity

We encourage and equip:

• Organizations and faith and belief leaders to live their beliefs and reach out in love and respect to LGBT people

We are an independent coalition, welcoming people of all faiths and beliefs. Our work is grounded in covenantal pluralism—a commitment to respectful dialogue, shared values, and collective action across deep differences.

Mission

To uphold and promote the freedom of religion or belief (FoRB) for all people, including LGBT individuals and communities, by advancing dialogue, documenting injustice and hope, equipping faith leaders, and fostering global collaboration rooted in dignity, mutual respect, and covenantal pluralism.

Vision

A world where LGBT people of faith or belief are free to live openly and safely in accordance with their conscience, where freedom of religion or belief is respected as a universal human right, and where faith and belief leaders and communities stand together in solidarity for dignity, inclusion, and justice for all.

Our Goals

1. Amplify Voices – Share stories of LGBT people of faith or belief and the stories of those who live their faith or belief through assisting LGBT people.

2. Track & Report – Highlight FoRB issues affecting LGBT individuals often overlooked in global reporting.

3. Equip Faith Leaders – Support religious leaders in loving and respecting LGBT individuals through their own beliefs.

4. Build Bridges – Promote collaboration and shared action.

5. Raise Awareness – Spotlight the global intersections of LGBT individuals and FoRB.

6. Model Covenantal Pluralism – Practice, promote, and highlight respectful engagement across difference.
